This is me: Dion Burn, 50-year-old part-time father of teenage triplet girls; library worker in Henrico County; bicycle commuter; lifetime resident of Richmond; pathological rebel; and neurotic, introverted mess.
Unlike A Bright, Ironic Hell, Satellite Dance is not incident-driven; that is, it is not a chronicle of events. Instead, it is driven by ideas, illustrated by reality. The dominant theme is love –it’s nature and its acquisition. Among the underlying themes are alienation, connection, and personal growth. I hope, also, to obliquely retell the story of A Bright, Ironic Hell as I try to move on from it. BIH enjoyed an insightful readership. I hope Satellite Dance finds them, and a few more. Any and all comments are welcome. Whatever you think or feel about Satellite Dance, good, bad or otherwise, I want to know.
As this is not a chronicle, entries will be posted at a more leisurely rate of about one a week. I trust the quality will counter the quantity and that you’ll feel your patience is rewarded. Post dates do not reflect the actual date of writing, so don’t be alarmed if, say, I talk about the coming Christmas in a January post.
I am not, generally, a blog reader, but I appreciate the well-turned phrase in any medium. My blog roll will be small, but the links will be a fair reflection of the kind of writing I appreciate. Please visit them and enjoy them as I do.

Hello! I was just visiting my email and saw that you’d popped over to my BlogCatalog profile and left a message…BTW…so glad to hear you’ve nothing to sell!
I wanted to let you know that upon first glance (well, actually, about 6 of them) I do believe I’m going to enjoy reading your blog(s). Of course, I’ll have to go back and catch up on your previous posts to really get the gist of what you’ve been writing. But I must say, so far…it is superb. Beautifully written and well thought out. And the syntax…love it…L-O-V-E it!
Well, that’s all. Here’s wishing you a lovely rest of your day.
Most cordially,
L. Avery Brown
